Keeping your hands and rings clean during the pandemic
Everyone is advising to wash your hands, but what about your rings?
Though there is little evidence on coronavirus the over riding advice by all health experts is that you must be washing your hands constantly and thoroughly. Rings get quite dirty and can harbour nasty germs in those tight spots and creases, so it is reasonable to assume that they should be washed.
Maybe getting to a professional jeweller at the moment is not viable but it is very easy to do at home! Here is how.
💍 First make sure your stones are snug in their settings. If they are not, best take them off and use after you have had them looked at to professionally.
💧 In a small ramekin add hot water and a few drops of Fairy liquid.
🧴With a SOFT bristle toothbrush and the soapy water brush your rings GENTLY.
💍 Don’t forget to brush the inside of your rings! Please be careful and gentle.
❗️Do NOT use this technique if your rings have:
⭐️ Pearls
⭐️ Opals
⭐️ Emeralds
⭐️ Aquamarines
Do NOT use soap with these delicate stones, just a bit of soapy water and no brush will do!
